“These pictures were never meant to become a book. They simply survived long enough to ask for one.”

Together with my brother Guido de Bruin we made a book for our dad. A collection of photographs he shot almost fifty years ago in Mexico.

All images were taken with a Leica CL, the same camera Guido later used for his photo series ‘Puebla Rasa’, closing a fifty-year loop.

The darkroom prints had been sitting in a box ever since. We have now collected them in this self published book ‘Forever Young’.
